摘  要:

Using field experiments, we address the issue: whether marital and childbearing status affects job accessibility in China? We find married and childbearing individuals, especially women, are less likely to receive interview callbacks. Individuals who are economic majors, highly educated, graduated from elite schools, and highly skilled are more vulnerable to marriage, childbearing, and having two children in the labor market. There are obvious occupational differences in job accessibility with respect to marriage and childbearing status: sales jobs are less likely to give interview opportunities to married and child-bearing people, especially women; researchers and civil servants are not vulnerable to personal marriage and childbearing status; service jobs are very friendly to married and child-bearing people. Moreover, married and childbearing individuals, especially women have lower job accessibility in applying highly paid positions.

报告人简介:

邓卫广,湖南大学经济与贸易学院副教授。2014年博士毕业于香港中文大学经济系,本硕毕业于中山大学。主要研究方向为劳动经济学、行为实验经济学、微观应用计量。近年在Journal of Population Economics、China Economic Review,《经济研究》、《经济学》季刊、《劳动经济研究》等SSCI和CSSCI 权威期刊发表数篇学术论文。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目、 湖南省社科联项目等,主持大型微观数据调查《中国大学生追踪调查》,多项田野实验调查和网络问卷调查。现任中国劳动经济学者论坛理事会秘书长。
