The School of Economics and Management follows the guidelines of ECNU’s internationalization strategy and has set the goal of improving international academic exchange on the basis of the characteristics of the region, which is at the frontier of China’s market economy. It has implemented a comprehensive internationalization strategy, reinforced strategic planning for global outreach, and is continually developing its international talent training system, international academic innovation platform, international faculty, and international support system. The SEM is also making an energetic effort to improve ECNU's the level of international activity and international reputation.
The SEM is actively involved in international exchange and cooperation, and has strategic cooperative partnerships with a dozen world-renowned universities in eight countries, including the United States, Canada, France, Australia, Israel and Japan, with diverse collaborative models such as “1+1”, “2+2”, “3+2”, “3+3”, etc.
With emlyon business school in France, ECNU has cofounded the Asia Europe Business School (AEBS) in Shanghai, which took in its first cohort of students in 2016.
