The School of Business Administration, formerly known as the International Business School, was founded in 1993. The Oriental Real Estate School was incorporated in 2007.
The School of Business Administration consists of five departments: the Department of Business Management, the Department of Accounting, the Department of Tourism and Exhibition Management, the Department of Information Management and Information Systems, and the Department of Real Estate Development and Management. It offers a comprehensive array of undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, including six undergraduate programs, two first-level master's programs, one second-level master's program and two first-level doctoral programs. It also possesses a post-doctoral research station.
Research institutes under the purview of the school include the Oriental Real Estate School, the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition School, the Zhang Yongyue Studio of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Decision-Making Consultation Research Base, the Feng Xuegang Studio of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Decision-Making Consultation Research Base, the Tourism Planning and Development Research Center, the International Enterprise Research Institute, the Brand Science Research Center, the Leisure Research Center, the Network and Information Research Center, and the Institute of Real Estate Economics. In addition, it contains two Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences Key Cultivation and Research Bases of East China Normal University: the Academic Evaluation and Promotion Research Center and the Institute for National Brand Strategy.
