On June 9th, Professor Charles Wang, Vice President for China and East Asian Affairs at the University of Arizona, visited ECNU on the invitation of the SEM to discuss exchanges and cooperation in the fields of economics and management.
Zhou Yunxuan, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, welcomed Professor Charles Wang on behalf of the school. He introduced the internationalization of ECNU to Professor Wang and expressed his hopes for cooperation between the two schools in the fields of economics and management. Professor Charles Wang introduced the University of Arizona, sharing its achievements in establishing cooperation with many Chinese universities in recent years. He expressed his hopes that cooperation can be expanded in the future.
Gao Enxin, Deputy Director of the SEM, briefly introduced the discipline development, faculty, and students of the SEM. Then, the two sides had in-depth discussions about the 3+2 cooperation projects in the fields of economy and management and the possibility of conducting cooperation in student exchange and joint PhD training in the future.
The University of Arizona is one of the most prestigious public research universities in the United States. It was founded in 1885 and is located in Tucson, Arizona's second largest city. The school is known as one of the Public Ivy League universities and is also one of the 62 member schools of the American Association of Universities (AAU), an alliance of top research universities in North America. In the latest comprehensive ranking of world universities released by US News and World Report, the University of Arizona ranks 97th in the world.
