From August 13 to 14, 2022, the 6th China Graduate Public Management Case Competition was held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
After several rounds of evaluation and on-site demonstration, two teams jointly guided by professors of the School of Public Administration of the SEM of ECNU won the first prize in the competition. In addition, five teams were shortlisted for the top 100 cases and won the third prize nationally.
The China Graduate Public Management Case Competition also bestowed a Best Case Award to 4 out of the 2,110 cases in this competition. One ECNU case rose through several rounds of judging and ultimately won a Best Case Award. This year, our university submitted a total of 16 MPA cases, out of which 7 were shortlisted for the top 100 and 2 were shortlisted for the top 32. The organizing committee awarded East China Normal University the Outstanding Organization Award of the 6th China Graduate Public Management Case Competition.
Best Case Award and Excellent Organization Award
The China Graduate Public Management Case Competition belongs to the top-ten theme competitions of the China Graduate Innovation Practice Competition and is also the only authoritative competition in the public management discipline category. The competition process of investigation and research and case collection, editing, analysis, and debate guides graduate students from related disciplines to attend to the practical problems of public management in China and improve their ability to use public management theory and analysis methods to solve practical problems. Through the case competition, the case teaching method is promoted in MPA education to encourage its close integration with public management practice and the overall situation of national development.
