On October 26, 2022, the Professional Degree Education Center of East China Normal University and Macquarie University Business School in Australia held the final meeting of the China–Australia Online Finance Workshop on Zoom. The theme of the event was “The Ins and Outs of Financial Management,” and the topic of the seminar was “Tesla and BYD: Buy, hold, or sell?” Based on the model of “pre-discussion + mid-term study + final report,” meetings were held on October 12, 19, and 26.

Participants at the closing meeting included Professor Vito Mollica, Dr. Keith Woodward, and Dr. Lurion De Mello from the Department of Applied Finance, Macquarie University Business School; Professors Wu Xinru and Lecturer Wang Tongjiang of the Faculty of Economics and Management of East China Normal University; Shen Shupeng and Luo Fang from the International Exchange Department of the Center; and more than 50 students from the two universities.

Subsequently, the students of the two schools were divided into six groups and made final on-site reports on the results of their projects.

After the final report by the students of the two schools, instructors from both sides gave detailed feedback on the overall performance of the students’ projects, the presentation of report materials, and the contributions from each group. They also commented on academic standardization, data reliability, and research depth and breadth. The students expressed the great benefits they gained from participating.
