On July 18th, 2020, the Second Member Representative Conference and General Election Conference of the China Association of Social Security (CAOSS) was held in Beijing. The conference elected the members of the second council. Professor Zhong Renyao (School of Public Administration, Faculty of Economics and Management) was re-elected as the Executive Council Member of the Association, Professor Lu Jinfei was elected as a council member of the Association, and Dr. Zhang Jiyuan was elected as a council member of the Association's Elderly Service Branch.
CAOSS was established in February 2015, it offers social insurance, social assistance, social welfare, military protection, charity and related commercial insurance and other services. At present, CAOSS has 1018 individual members, and more than 330 university and scientific research member institutions. It is a national academic community and a think tank of scholars in social security and related fields with branches such as the World Social Security Research Branch, Social Assistance Branch, Medical Security Professional Committee, and Pension Branch.
